Who is responsible for your data

Tales of Wanderlust Ltd (“we”, “us”), trading as Tales of Wanderlust, is the data controller for the personal information collected through this website. We are registered in Scotland (company number SC811988), registered office 2/1 8 Bedford Street, Glasgow, G5 9AJ. You can contact us about privacy at admin@talesofwanderlust.co.uk.

What we collect and why

  • When you contact us — the name, email address and message you submit through the contact form, so we can reply to your enquiry.
  • When you place an order — your name, email address and delivery address, so we can process, produce and ship your print and send order and tracking emails. Your payment is handled directly by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not build marketing profiles. See our Cookie Policy for more.

Our legal basis

  • To fulfil your order — performance of our contract with you.
  • To respond to enquiries — our legitimate interest in answering you.
  • To keep business records — our legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting).

Who we share it with

We only share personal data with the service providers that help us run the shop:

  • Stripe — payment processing and checkout (name, email, delivery address, payment).
  • Resend — sending order confirmations, admin notifications and enquiry emails.
  • Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery.

These providers act on our behalf and are bound to protect your data. Some may process data outside the UK; where they do, they rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK/EU-approved contractual clauses). We never sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet our legal and accounting obligations (generally up to 6 years). Enquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your query.

Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email admin@talesofwanderlust.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above shows when it last changed.
