From high on Dubrovnik’s walls, a rough stone gap frames the view people climb for: a cascade of terracotta roofs, the bell tower, the old harbour, and the Adriatic opening out past the headland.
Shooting it through the embrasure turns a familiar postcard into something more deliberate — the dark, irregular stone surrounding and concentrating the bright town beyond, funnelling the eye straight down the lane to the water.
Recognisably Dubrovnik, but framed the way you actually come upon it — through the wall.
