Petra has over eight hundred individual structures. The Treasury gets the crowds. This tomb — partially obscured by shadow, framed by the boulders above it, half-reclaimed by the cliff — is found by wandering off the signed path and sitting with the landscape until your eyes adjust.
The drama here is in the light: the sharp division between sunlit stone and deep shadow, the way the facade seems to be disappearing back into the rock that made it. It’s a quieter image than the famous monuments, and more personal for it.
