Wadi Rum, Jordan · MAY 2025
The Lone Acacia
from £20
A single acacia rooted in the red sand of Wadi Rum, dwarfed by the massif behind it and entirely at home.
In a landscape built to swallow scale — cliffs the size of cathedrals, sand running to every horizon — a single acacia holds the centre of the frame. It has found water somewhere beneath the red floor of Wadi Rum, and it stands against the massif as though it owns the valley.
This is the quietest image in the collection, and the most graphic: one tree, one wall of sandstone, three clean bands of colour — green, red, blue. The emptiness is the point. One living thing, dwarfed and undaunted, with space to breathe on every side — a print that calms a wall rather than competes for it.
Calm, minimal, and unmistakably Wadi Rum — the desert at its most still.
